The Center for Water Sciences (CWS) is an MSU REF center started in April 2005. CWS researchers explore linkages between ecological and human health.

IC Sewage: a new initiative by CWS and the International Water Association's Health Related Water Microbiology specialty group. IC Sewage will create an international network of laboratories to assess sewage contamination of water across the globe. Learn more>>

Water Fellows Series 2009 on Stormwater: CWS sponsored a workshop series focusing on stormwater issues. The purpose of the series was to learn about the impacts of stormwater on water resources in Michigan and to explore potential solutions. Final report is now online. Learn more>>
